Discovering new possibilities for lights.
- Q.Why did you choose KOITO Manufacturing?
- I applied for KOITO because I was impressed by its technical abilities proven by its reputation as a number one global supplier of headlamps, and I was fascinated by its lamps which play a major role in creating the vehicle image. I was also impressed by the fact that KOITO serves as a complete supplier, doing everything from lamp development all the way to production, and I was impressed by how its employees are allowed to be involved in a wide range of activities from product development to manufacturing.
- Q.When do you feel a sense of accomplishment from work?
- I feel a great sense of accomplishment when the method that I developed gets adopted in producing a product. Lamps are sometimes called “decors.” But my assignment is to decorate them, and I develop methods to make the look of a vehicle logo and lightings more appealing. It is my job to make lamps more beautiful and appealing. In order to reach my goal, I have to collaborate with suppliers and other departments to find solutions to various obstacles. Sometimes, something that I worked on by cooperating with many people becomes a product or a new possibility for lights is discovered. The feeling of joy that I get in those moments is irreplaceable.
- Q.Do you have any advice for people who are job searching?
- To develop new methods, we have to update our knowledge and continue to learn. Don’t focus too much on your major, but use your experience as a student as your foundation, and try out things that you’re interested in. I look forward to working with you on the same team.
Q.What kind of company is KOITO to you?
It’s a hardworking and warm company that values human relationship. My goal is to become like my senior colleagues, and I’m working hard to become an employee who can spearhead product development.
