Aiming to achieve the world’s top-level precision from the base of Mt. Fuji.
- Q.Why did you choose KOITO Manufacturing?
- I wanted to work in my local area of Shizuoka. I saw a promotional video of KOITO Manufacturing when I was job searching, and I was fascinated by its appeal of manufacturing. I applied to KOITO because I was attracted to the dynamic process where a variety of parts are collected together to produce a single product.
- Q.Tell us what kind of work you do.
- I make “molds” that aim to attain the world’s top-level precision from the base of Mt. Fuji. It requires the use of micro-level processing technology, because the quality of molds greatly affects the quality of products. I’m involved in technological development to speed up mold machining, improve its quality, and make it error-proof.
- Q.When do you feel a sense of accomplishment from your work?
- Molds are blocks of metal, so I can’t see the inside when parts are being molded. When problems arise, I have to create various types of theories to envision what’s happening inside the mold and verify each theory one by one. It’s a process that requires tenacity and craftsmanship, but I feel a great sense of accomplishment when my theories and verification process work, enabling me to create good countermeasures.
Q.What kind of company is KOITO to you?
It’s a world’s top-class manufacturer working from Shizuoka that possesses both tradition and innovation.
